
Linda McMahon-Secretary of Education
Linda McMahon was born on October 4, 1948, in New Bern, North Carolina. She graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in French. She currently serves as the U.S. Secretary of Education. On August 16, 2024, Donald Trump's campaign team appointed her as co-chair of the presidential transition team; on November 19 local time, U.S. President-elect Trump announced that he would appoint Linda McMahon as the next U.S. Secretary of Education. In terms of education, McMahon advocates expanding the eligibility for Pell Grants to fund skills training and technical education that most workers rely on.
